| Hello and welcome to our special edition newsletter - a wrap up on our enormously successful National Project Management Conference 2021, which took place earlier this month.
Over 270 Project Professionals joined us on the 11th March to network, learn and nourish the field of project management in Ireland....and beyond! |

| I was surprised and delighted to welcome delegates from Bulgaria, France, Belgium, the US, Canada, Swtzerland, India and even Tanzania! As vaccines are rolled out and we return to normal, it will be important to retain the benefits of remote working and the level of inclusion and diversity that a virtual event can offer. | ||||||

I wont lie. Entering 2021, with the ambitious plan to deliver our first Virtual Conference by March, was a little scary. But after I dusted off the 2020 woes and rallied the troops, something exciting started to form: the hope of a familiar forum and the buzz of knowing we would be together as a community once more. From the start we knew we needed two very special teams to meet in the middle, in order to make this event a success. |

1) Our Board: We are a team of volunteers, with demanding careers and social lives. Ok maybe not social lives in the old sense...but with demands on our time from family and friends! Conferences take considerable effort to plan and everyone on the board made sacrifices to carve out time for this cause. Very special thanks to our Director of IT, Mick Schofield and our Director of Admin, Louise Mc Fadden - who mastered our platform to ensure the best user experience. Thanks also to my wonderful volunteers Sean Cronin and Ciaran Forde, who made a massive impact. 2) Our Delegates: "If you build it they will come" - or so the line goes! But thats not true....and we needed more than ghosts! We are uber thankful to our fabulous Members and Supporters who turned out in their droves and brought all of our plans and hopes to life! See below a quick infographic that encapsulates the success and impact of the day. We are wrapping up our lessons learned this week, so do reach out here with any specific feedback. I will now transition to my second Board Role - Director of Outreach, so you will be hearing from me soon, as I work with Irelands learning institutions to build the pipeline of future Project Managers! |

Hello all! This time out I am excited to share the latest "Pulse of the Profession" a must read for Project Management professionals. Published on the 24th March, this is a fresh and hyper relevant piece of Thought Leadership on Gymnastic Enterprises.
What are they? I hear you ask. Well, when we look back at the last year we identify enterprises who in spite of challenge, managed to pivot and thrive. They shifted to a focus on output and empowered their people to enable great change. Their employees were given space to optimize working from home and to elevate their power skills.
