Ireland Chapter Newsletter December | 2020 |
A message from the President, Jackie Glynn |
Welcome to our December Edition of the PMI Ireland Chapter Newsletter. We have made it through one of the strangest years in recent memory, and look forward to a healthier happier 2021. But before the countdown to the New Year we would like to share important updates from our AGM which took place on the 15th December and offer an annual review of 2020. First let us share the results of our elections: |

I would like to thank our 2020 volunteers who were not seeking re-election, Frances Keating, Shane Kearney, Adrian Corcoran and Elif Karakulak for their hard work and dedication. I am thrilled with the strength and diversity of our 2021 Board and, as a team, we look forward to building on the success of 2020 to continue to nourish the field of Project Management in 2021. Despite the challenges faced in these past 12 months, we have much success to celebrate. View our Annual Round Up video here, or note below our highlights:
I hope all of you have enjoyed some downtime over the holidays. As you ring in the New Year with plans or resolutions, remember: we offer learning opportunities, thought leadership and community engagement. Why not make the most of your membership in 2021? |
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
PMI Exam Changes
The new format of the PMI Exam will launch on the 2nd January 2021. Although there was unprecedented demand for the exam in December 2020, many people preparing for the original exam, will now need to take the new version. If you are in this position, PMI has resources to support you.
To help you bridge the knowledge between the current and new versions of the PMP, PMI will offer free access to an online course aimed at teaching concepts related to agile and hybrid approaches of project management. The course is self-paced and offered online for FREE from 22 January to 18 April 2021. Click here to request access to this course.
Lastly, if you don’t do well on the exam, PMI will offer eligible candidates 65% off any re-examination fees.
2021 EVENTS SCHEDULE
In 2020 we pivoted from in person to virtual events, and and in doing so we diversified our speakers and boosted our attendees. We want to build on this momentum in 2021, and retain the webinar format while (hopefully) blending with in person events when safe to do so.
So at this juncture we can launch our Webinar Series for Jan-May 2021 as follows:
As always you can register now for any of these events via our Events Page
