A message from the President, Jackie Glynn

Welcome to the August Edition of the PMI Newsletter. I hope you and your families are safe and well and managed to get some much-needed downtime during the summer months. With Covid19 continuing to impact our social and economic activities myself and Committee members are dedicated to providing you, our members, with opportunities to connect and learn with your PM community in Ireland.

We will continue to focus on delivering content through our popular weekly webinar series. As the future of work keeps evolving, the following are some interesting snippets to read:

• The latest edition of the Pulse of the Profession: “The Innovation Imperative - The New Must-Have Mindset for Project Leaders" is now available. 

Making space for innovation starts with hiring people willing to learn and adapt. ‘McKinsey reports that while 90 percent of executives believe the COVID-19 crisis will fundamentally change the way they do business over the next five years and 70 percent say it will create significant new opportunities for growth, only 21 percent say they have the expertise, resources and commitment to pursue that new growth successfully.’

• Why Great Ideas Fail and How to Make Sure They Don't
